The Power of Branding.
Why is branding essential to your business?
Let’s start with the definition of branding. Per Merriam-Webster brand· ing | \ ˈbran-diŋ \: the promoting of a product or service by identifying it with a particular brand.
Now that we have the official definition out the way. What does branding mean to you and how do you envision your business brand to look like? Here are a couple of brands that are easily identifiable by their logos.
Now let us take a look at your logo. Did you decide you want a symbol to easily identify your company or were you thinking words like the following brands? You can always choose to use words and a symbol. Either way be iconic! I will also suggest you think about trademarking your logo, so when you work with your designer to create your logo make sure you communicate that you have plans to trademark. I will discuss the importance of trademarking in my next blog post.
What if your company does not sell a product but a service? How important is branding? Well, I have a client that is an accountant and she already had her logo created but needed assistance on making her social media more relevant and engaging. So we created a social media branding package where we updated her website and social media platforms to look more uniform. We used her existing colors and created unique profile images to match her website. Then we made sure her posts were unique to her brand as well as her monthly newsletter.
Let’s talk about your tagline… Do you have one? A tagline is a catchphrase or slogan used to easily describe your business or your mission. For example, our tagline is “Our Creativity For Your Success” we want you to understand we plan on being creative to make sure your business is successful in this tuff market. Especially since this pandemic created a small business frenzy. Creating a tagline is essential to your business in so many ways especially if your business offers a service but companies like Burger King, “Have it your way” gave product companies the power to bring their brand in your home. So don’t shy away from adding a tagline to your company brand. If you have no idea where to start, don’t worry I have your back!
I could spend all day discussing branding but I will need to continue this topic in my next post. Please comment, share or set up your free consultation to discuss your branding needs.
