Is your workspace calming?
Having a post-pandemic workspace that is both calming and functional.
At the start of the Pandemic, many people wondered how they would be able to continue working from home. That meant for some people had to figure out a workspace that was both functional and calming. Now that working from home has become the norm workspaces have taken on a transformation all of their own.
One of my favorite ideas is to add plants or flowers to your workspace. It can be as simple as a small bamboo plant or go all out and create a tropical paradise. Make sure you have “good” lighting. Does your space have natural light? Poor lighting can create tiredness and a strain on your eyes.
Add a candle, oil burner, or plugin to enhance your senses. A good-smelling work environment creates a welcoming feeling. Try having a place positive quote near or around your desk, one that will encourage you to conquer the day or achieve your goals.
One other tip would be to invest in a comfortable chair. This is a must-have in your office you cannot work nor function with a poor quality chair. I have one that swivels, reclines, and is made out of fabric because I sometimes spend hours at my desk. I also invested in a footstool to keep my feet elevated for more comfort.
Lastly, if you are anything like me coffee is LIFE so please make sure you hydrate… plenty of water is a necessity!
